Gabe and I rode/wrote the new route this weekend and it’s gonna be a hoot. We’re gonna use the same casual route as in past years (straightfoward coastal with Planet of the Apes, or y’all can choose the tunnel or the newly opened Devil’s Slide multi-use path), for a total of about 55 miles. The race route this year is similar as last year, but with a bit more climbing. All in all it’s about 75 miles with about 7,000 feet of climbing. It’s a hard fucking race. Don’t be a muppet and race it unless you’re a very strong rider.
Q: What kind of bicycle should I ride?
A: A cross bike would be good. Whatever you’re comfortable on would be best.
Below are the bikes that Gabe and I rode the route on and they both worked
And more pictures from the race route
Thanks Huckleberry!

Timbuk2 hooked up a Showdown backpack, a Yield backpack, and a Toolshed.
Thanks a ton to NOW!, Morgan’s friend who donated the bikes to auction off, Bread SRSLY, Cyrpian’s ARC, Comrades, all of our sponsor farms, the lady who gave me all the free chicken & waffle potato chips, and all of y’all who came out! We had almost 60 people come out and raised over $500 for the kitchen renovation project!
